Returns & Refunds
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If something isn’t right, here’s how returns, refunds and exchanges work.
Changed your mind?
We accept change-of-mind returns, but shipping costs are your responsibility. Products must be unused and returned in their original packaging. Any payment transaction fees (usually around 1-2%) may be retained to cover bank and processing costs. Change-of-mind returns must be requested within 30 days of receiving your order. Please make sure your delivery address is correct, as risk passes to you once goods are delivered.
Damaged or lost in transit
If your order arrives damaged or is lost, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos or a short video. Refunds or replacements are issued once courier claims are approved. Claims made after two weeks cannot be refunded. Refunds due to circumstances beyond our control (incorrect shipping details, refusal to pay additional fees, change of mind) may have transaction fees deducted.
Faulty or incorrect items
If your item is faulty or incorrect, contact us first. The product may need to be returned for assessment (at our cost), though photos or videos may sometimes be enough. Faulty or incorrectly supplied goods will be repaired, replaced or refunded.
If we check a returned item and find it’s working correctly, we’ll happily send it back to you (or provide a replacement for peace of mind), but all shipping costs to and from you will be your responsibility.
Your consumer rights
This policy does not affect your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Faulty goods will always be remedied in accordance with New Zealand law.
How to request a return
To request a return, contact us via the contact form on our website or email info@mrwatt.nz. Include your order number, a description of the issue and photos if applicable. Once your return is approved, refunds are processed within 3–5 business days back to the original payment method.
